The International Ski Federation, FIS, decided at its congress to extend the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes. "I'm glad that the exclusion decision wasn't changed," says Erik Röste, president of the Norwegian Ski Association.

Both the IOC and the G7 summit this week have opened the door for Russian participation in international competitions, then under a neutral flag. After the congress in Zurich, Fis writes on his website: "The current FIS policy, which does not allow the participation of Russian, Belarusian athlete and officials in FIA events, will apply until further notice"
