Rui Hachimura started for the first time in the playoffs in Game 4 of the Conference Finals against the Nuggets. He scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, but the team suffered a come-from-behind loss, lost four in a row, and did not advance to the NBA Finals.
He has scored in double figures in three consecutive games and has also made his defensive presence felt. He joined the Lakers in a trade from the Wizards in January midway through the season and has not signed a contract beyond next season.
