[HIGHLIGHTS] MLB All-Star fan voting begins, Shohei Ohtani becomes a candidate

Fan voting to select a fielder to start the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in July began on June 7, Japan time. Shohei Ohtani of the Angels was nominated in the American League designated hitter category.

Masanao Yoshida of the Red Sox, who has a batting average of over 1% so far in his first year in the big leagues, was nominated. Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs and Lars Nootbar of the Cardinals are candidates in the outfielder category.
