The International Boxing Federation (IBA) suspends Sweden and three other nations because of their links to the newly started organization World Boxing. World Boxing (WB) was launched in April as a new worldwide boxing federation that wants to keep boxing on the Olympic program.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) does not allow Iba to host the boxing competitions in Paris next year and in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. The Swedish Boxing Federation has not yet decided whether to break away from Iba and join the WB.
