The Israel Football Association announced on Monday that Beitar Jerusalem will be banned from participating in European competitions next season. Fans stormed the pitch after winning a domestic cup last month.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog was forced to rush off the stadium in Haifa on May 23. The sanction means that Petar will not take part in the next edition of the Europa Conference League, and the replacement team has not yet been determined. Beitar has a poor record of discipline in the Israeli league and has been subjected to numerous penalties, including points deductions, fines and playing without fans.
