IOC head Thomas Bach and French President Emmanuel Macron held a meeting at the Elysee Palace in Paris. Bach and Macron discussed the issue of admitting athletes from Russia and Belarus to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

The IOC Executive Board recommended that international federations allow Russians who did not support the special military operation to compete as neutral athletes. Earlier, the head of the Russian Olympic Committee, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, said that he had no doubts about the return of Russian athletes to international competitions.
