[HIGHLIGHTS] Athletics: Decathlete Leo Neugebauer breaks German points record from 1984

Leo Neugebauer has broken the German decathlon record. The 22-year-old scored 8836 points at the NCAA Division Championships.

Only eight athletes have scored more points in the history of the decathlon. NeugeBauer: "It feels incredible. I'm overjoyed to have won with a record here in Austin," said the student from the University of Texas. He has fulfilled the standard for the World Championships in Budapest (8478 to 19 August) and the 27 Olympic Games in Paris.
