Lamecha Girma breaks a 19-year-old world record in the 3,000m hurdles during the Diamond League gala in Paris on Friday night. The Ethiopian ran in a time of 7:52,12, 17 seconds ahead of runner-up Ryuji Miura.
"I feel happy and very proud. I felt fast and confident during the race. The world record was no surprise, I planned to break it. It's a result of complete determination," the record man said.
