Valladolid Mayor Oscar Puente has been locked in a war of words with former Brazilian star Ronaldo Nazario. Nazario accused the municipal council of negligence with the club.
Valladolid quickly returned to the second division after just one season in LaLiga, finishing 18th with 40 points at the end of the 2022-2023 season. Puente: "Ronaldo's real problem is that he doesn't know where he lives and where he works, I can't give him the pitch for 50 years and bear all the costs"
