On the men's side, the winner of the Svenska Cupen gets a place in the Europa League. But there is no European place on the women's side.

"It's probably a sign that men's football is further ahead than we are," says Hammarby's Jonna Andersson. Robert Vilahamn, coach of Häcken, believes that an equivalent to the men’s Europa League is required on theWomen's side for there to be a change.
