Ukrainian President opposed the ban on grain imports from Ukraine to the EU countries. Hungary and five other countries called on the European Commission to ban the import of agricultural products from Ukraine until the end of 2023.

Romanian Agriculture Minister Petre Daya said that the EU is ready to consider the possibility of suspending grain imports until June 5 if Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia lift unilateral import bans. The ambassadors of the EU member states supported the extension for a year of duty-free import into the EU of goods from Ukraine.
