Yevgeny Roizman was elected mayor of Yekaterinburg, Russia, in 2013. He is known as an anti-drug activist and collector of Russian icons.

He has been accused of corruption and embezzlement. His trial began on 26th April in the city where he was mayor for five years. The trial is expected to last until the end of the month, according to reports in the Russian press. The case is being investigated by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
