Complaints of sexual violence in Catalonia in 2022 increased by 10% compared to 2021 (from 3,387 to 3,725) From January to April of this 2023, 1,247 complaints have been instructed, representing 19% more than the same period last year. Complaints of criminal acts related to sexual violence account for 0.65 per cent of all criminal cases and have a resolution rate of 78 per cent.
60% of reported sexual crimes are without violence or 38% for exhibitionism. More cases happen in the mornings and weekends.
