[HIGHLIGHTS] Writer Hitchens accused Britain of being undemocratic due to the dispatch of special forces to the Crimea

Peter Hitchens says British military involvement in Ukraine speaks of undemocratic nature of British authorities. Hitchens: "As far as I know, our country is not at war with Russia" The writer noted that Britain does not need to intervene in the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, the American newspaper The Washington Post said that the British reconnaissance aircraft RC-135 Rivet Joint was "almost shot down" over the Black Sea in the fall of 2022. In March, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that U.S. ignores the fact that after the start of the Russian special military operation, the coastal areas of Black Sea have a limited status for flights.
