Luka Mkheidze and Cédric Revol eliminated on first day of World Judo Championships in Doha. French pair knocked out in second round by Belgium's Jorre Verstraeten during extra time.
Mkheidz won Tel Aviv Grand Slams in February and the Antalya Grand slam in March. Revol lost in the first round by South Korean Jeon Seungbeom. The surprise medallist of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 had recorded good results at the beginning of the year.
