The war that erupted in the capital and several Sudanese cities has forced tens of thousands of civilians to seek refuge. Large numbers were unable to leave in light of the disruption of banking services, the suspension of payments through banking applications and the lack of cash funds.

The states of Gezira and River Nile, which are close to Khartoum, were the most preferred destination for the majority of those who decided to flee the clashes. The International Organization for Migration announced on Tuesday that the ongoing battles in Sudan had forced more than 334,000 people to flee.
