The Justice and Development Party (AKP) parliamentary candidate Rajab Sayyar confirmed that the party has 6 million young members out of a total of 12 million members. The bloc of new voters eligible to vote for the first time, numbering nearly 5 million, is gaining specificity in the upcoming elections.
The new voters' attitudes were "closer" to the opposition, says the Metropole Research and Polling Center's founder. The presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14 will choose the next president and members of parliament.
