Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, both under arrest in an alleged murder case, were on their way last night handcuffed by police to a health centre in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh state. The former Indian politician and mafioso was interacting with the press at the time of the event, which was recorded in front of the cameras and whose images went viral on social networks instantly.
Police have so far identified three alleged attackers, who were also caught on media cameras as posing as journalists to commit the murder.
