The United States accuses Mali of serving as a third country to help Russia conceal arms purchases to Ukraine. Washington suspects Wagner of using Mali to arm himself in Ukraine.
At this stage, these purchases have not yet been finalized, according to the State Department spokesman. No indication of which country sells these weapons, but in the past, Washington has already accused Turkey and North Korea of supplying missiles and rockets to Wagner to wage his war in Ukraine, the State Dept. said on Monday. The Russian paramilitary group is reportedly trying to transit these foreign weapons through Mali to conceal them.
