A petition has been started to get a referendum on the new hospital in Växjö. The association that runs the petition has six months to collect almost 16,000 names in Kronoberg County.
They want money to go to primary care and increased physician density instead of a new hospital. If the association succeeds in collecting signatures, a decision by the regional council is then also required toget a consultative referendum. The idea is that the collection will also take place in other locations in the county.
