Five chimpanzees escaped from Furuvik Park in December. Four of them: Torsten, Linda, Santino and Manda were shot dead.
Protesters held up placards that read, for example, "Animals are not entertainment" and "Why was Torsten shot?". Police: "It's been calm," police operations chief Johan Olsson said an hour after the park opened. The visitors had reasoned in slightly different ways before their visit to Furuviksparken: "What has happened has happened and everyone can learn from it"
