In Montana, gender transitional hormone care is now prohibited for minors. The law was ratified on Friday, April 28 by Greg Gianforte, the Republican governor of this northern state.

A controversial law, since it led to the expulsion of a Democratic elected representative from the Montana legislature during the debates. Since January, 29 new laws violating the rights of transgender people have been passed in 14 U.S. states. It refers to a law that is "immoral, unjust and against human rights"
