[HIGHLIGHTS] US to deploy two more warships to Rota Naval Base

The governments of Spain and the U.S. have signed an agreement for the deployment of two additional ships of the US Navy at the Naval Base of Rota.

The agreement was signed on Monday by the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, and the Ambassador of the United States in Spain, Julissa Reynoso. Robles will register this Tuesday a request to appear before the Defense Commission of the Congress of Deputies to report on this agreement. The authorization to station at the Rota Naval Base to be extended from four to six ships.
