Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has not officially declared his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the 2024 US presidential election. But that doesn't stop him from sending messages to the electorate in his camp.
The governor of Florida signed a law passed by a large majority of the legislators of his state. It makes it possible to sentence to death the perpetrators of sexual assaults on children under the age of 12. The new law is due to come into force on 1 October, but is likely to be challenged in court.
