In Ukraine, farmers face a major problem: how to work in fields bombed since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Between the carcasses of the hangars destroyed by the fighting, tractors and combine harvesters wait to be repaired.

The fields are still riddled with the remains of shells, rockets and mines, says chief agronomist Andrii Lapa. There is a lack of demining brigades: they focus on critical infrastructure and do not really have time to take care of farmers.
