Tunisian Ennahda leader Sahbi Atiq has been on a hunger strike for 18 days. His wife says he is the victim of a "malicious case based on forgery and fabrication" She says the only purpose of his hunger strike is to put him in prison for money laundering.

The case against Atiq is politically motivated, she says, as he is a member of the first row of the Ennahdah party, which is led by the Tunisian Muslim Brotherhood.
