Tranås United CEO Pär-Anders Davidsson says the situation in the city is generally good. Small store owners and larger chains are currently facing a tough situation with rent increases of up to eleven percent while sales are declining.

Davidsson believes that a long tradition of being a commercial city and that there are about 40,000 people living within a three-mile radius are important explanations for the city's success. The business company has a turnover of around SEK 1.2 billion, which was significantly better than during the pandemic years.
