Sudanese activists posted videos on social media documenting the widespread destruction and fire in shops as a result of shelling and clashes. The footage shows extensive destruction in a residential neighborhood, property fires, and plumes of smoke rising from several neighborhoods.
It is noteworthy that clashes broke out between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in the capital Khartoum and other Sudanese areas on April 15. The two sides disagreed during negotiations over a plan to form a civilian government and integrate the RSF into the armed forces.
