The arrest of Jack Teixeira last week on charges of stealing and leaking an unknown number of secrets would prompt a rethink of security clearances granted by intelligence officials in the "Five Eyes" coalition. The Times reported that the leaked Pentagon documents have so far caused little damage to Britain, compared to the damage caused by the leaks of former US intelligence agent Edward Snowden.

The sharing of intelligence and secrets between the UK and the US through the Five Eyes network is very seamless, and includes the sharing of eavesdropping information, including phone calls and email correspondence.
