Ukraine says it managed to shoot down 21 of 23 Russian missiles and two attack drones during the night. At least 25 people have been confirmed dead as a result of the attacks, including at least five children.
Ukraine put the Patriot air defense system into operation shortly after the attack on Friday morning. The announcement comes shortly after Ukraine announced that it would be deploying the Patriot system to all of its airports and military bases across the country on Friday night. The attack on Kyiv, Uman and Dnipro has left at least 25 dead.
