The County Administrative Board's assessment is that the spring flood of 2023 may become more intense in the northern coastal parts of Västernorrland. The spring flood can probably begin to be noticed as early as this week.
If melting is quick and combined with rain, areas that have had problems in the past may be affected again. If the heat breaks through, it can be a real boost, says Martin Neldén, emergency preparedness officer at the county's emergency service.
