Nybyggeskolan in Västerås is being investigated by the Discrimination Ombudsman following a report of discrimination against a student. It is about the student having had strong allergic reactions due to the school's therapy dog.
The complaint was made in March and the DO is now investigating whether discrimination has occurred. The dog and its handler have changed their office to another part of the school. The former premises and the nearby ones have been allergy decontaminated. Before the clean-up, an allergen measurement was also made, according to the reporter.
