The Prosecutor General is not satisfied with the verdict in the Vårdexpressen case. In the Court of Appeal, the former CEO and a former official at Region Skåne were sentenced to probation for aggravated bribery.
Now the Prosecutor General wants the Supreme Court to examine whether those involved are also guilty of breach of trust. Every year, public procurements are made for around SEK 700 billion in Sweden. The Prosecutor General believes that it is of great importance that all forms of corruption that may occur within the framework of public procurement are counteracted and prosecuted.
