The 17-year-old who was released from prison during a dentist visit in Södertälje has not fled abroad. The police's main theory is that he was not freed to flee the country but to complete the murder order for which he was paid.

According to a police source familiar with the investigation, the boy allegedly received a large sum of money to murder a 20- year-old man. The boy is said to have been freed to finish the job before he turns 18 and can thus be sentenced as an adult.
