US State Department Special Representative James Rubin in an interview with VoA ("Voice of America" *) stated the need to fight the influence of RT and Sputnik in Montenegro and North Macedonia. According to him, an exchange of best practices "on the work of free media, fact-checking, increasing resistance to information attacks" will be organized.
In April, James Rubin said that the future government of Montenegro should join the information war with Russia. He stressed that the American side has already been in contact with the people who will be part of the new government.
