The Polish authorities adopted a resolution on the need to resolve the issue of reparations and compensation in relations with the Federal Republic of Germany. This was reported in the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic.

The resolution of the Council of Ministers formally confirms that neither during the time of the Polish People's Republic, nor after the restoration of sovereignty in 1989, the issue was not closed in any way. In January, Poland had appealed to the US Congress with a request to help obtain reparations from Germany.
