The flagship CAC 40 index gained 6.66 points to 7,396.94 points, after peaking at 7,463.67 points, its new all-time high. The day before, it had finished up 0.89% at the end of a session that allowed it to exceed its closing record more than a year old.

The French search engine Qwant, a former star of French Tech long supported by the state, is being bought by Octave Klaba, founder of OVHCloud. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
