Israeli media reported that sirens sounded in the Gaza envelope area and the coast of Ashkelon, following the rocket fire from Gaza. Israeli artillery shelled two military positions of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the northern Gaza Strip without reporting any injuries.
An Israeli was killed by rockets launched from Gaza, in response to the Israeli aggression on the Strip, and the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" quoted the Israeli ambulance as saying that 77 wounded were treated throughout Israel.
