[HIGHLIGHTS] The olive grove of Jaén is entrusted to heaven to avert the threat of the second worst harvest in its history

At six o'clock in the afternoon of Monday, May 1, Our Father Jesus, popularly known in Jaén as El Abuelo, went in procession from his dressing room to walk the streets. The prayer had only one purpose: to ask for water.

Only 645 cubic hectometres remain, representing 27.30 per cent of a total capacity of 2,361.3 cubic hectares. The more than sixty-eight million olive trees that take root in the province of Jaén represent the largest humanized forest in the world.
