Kisses in cuneiform from Mesopotamia date back to 4,500 years ago. First documented kiss was in the Indian text Kama Sutra.

The first human kiss is thought to have taken place six million years ago in the form of a kiss between a man and a woman. The kiss is said to have been caused by oral herpes, a disease that can be spread via saliva in kisses, which dates back to around 4,000 years ago, according to a new study.
