The basketball association Alvesta Tigers has gone from ten to 46 active girls. The girls themselves wanted to have their own training groups instead of training with the boys.

Many come from different cultures that would not otherwise play sports. The association hopes that the municipality will join in and make a decision on new halls. The hall is located in an area where few children play sports and this also means that the association hopes to attract groups you wouldn't otherwise reach. The interest has really exceeded expectations, says Indira Lepic, chairman of the association.
