The French government continues to rule out targeted tax increases on the rich. The richest 0.1% of French people have an overall tax rate of 46%.

This rate decreases as the incomes of these ultra-rich increase, until falling to 26% for the 75 wealthiest tax households. The wealthiest French often pay with the undistributed profits of their companies, subject to a more advantageous tax rate than salaries or income from assets. The executive believes more in the global minimum tax of 15% on the profits of multinationals.
