[HIGHLIGHTS] The court sentenced a resident of Sevastopol to 18 years for participating in Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami

The Southern Military District Court of Sevastopol issued a verdict against a resident of the city who organized the activities of a cell of the Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami terrorist organization. The man's illegal activities were stopped in February 2022.

The cases against him were investigated under Part 1 of Article 205.5 (organization of the Activities of a terrorist organization) and Part 1. of Article 30, Article 278 of the Criminal Code of Russia (preparation for the violent seizure of power).
