Since March, half of all commuter trains have run without train attendants. This has resulted in sick leave that has led to several cancelled departures and staff shortages.

Train drivers now call for a "wild strike on the shuttle" starting on Monday at 03 a.m. The trade union Seko, which organises most of the train drivers, rejects plans for a wild strike. MTR still hopes to get enough train drivers to run the commuter trains on Monday, says Niklas Ekström, Head of Communications at MTR.
