Russian authorities say they have ended their "anti-terror operation" and say all the pro-Ukrainian groups behind the attack are defeated and out of Russian territory. The situation is now said to be under control, although a large number of drone strikes took place during the night into Wednesday in the Russian city of Belgorod.
At the same time, however, the work of the security forces to secure the area is still ongoing and that 550 evacuees have not yet been able to return to their homes.
