The area of the forest fire in the Altai Territory on the border with Kazakhstan amounted to more than 20 hectares. There is no direct threat to settlements, the fire is away from the villages.
The All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOCHS) predicted high risks of forest and landscape fires this week in 14 regions of five federal districts of Russia. It is difficult to name the exact area - during the flight there is a lot of smoke, the fires are focal, somewhere extinguished, somewhere not yet.
