Swedish police's criticized department NFC has become faster - but it is slow and does not apply to all cases, a SVT survey shows. At the same time, internal criticism of the leadership style in the department is now emerging.
NFC has been criticized from several quarters – for both thinning DNA samples and neglected IT development. The average processing time in 2022 was 20 percent shorter than in 2018, but average times in both 2019 and 2020 were at about the same level as last year.
