On the first day of the Labour Day holiday, the first food market as part of the "Happy Hong Kong" event opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The HKSAR Government hosted the food market this time, hoping to bring the public a "fun and good food" experience and have fun with everyone.
Hong Kong Cinema Day 2023 was held on the same day, allowing audiences to enjoy various types of public screenings at commercial cinemas in Hong Kong. It is reported that more than 30 stalls offered different characteristics of global, Chinese and local authentic cuisine, as well as different performances and children's games.
