A court in Iran has convicted ten members of the country's armed forces for the downing of a passenger plane outside Tehran in January 2020. Several Swedes were among the victims.

One military officer is sentenced to ten years in prison, and the other nine are sentenced to between one and three years. All 176 on board were killed when Ukraine International Airlines flight 752 bound for Kyiv, Ukraine, was shot down shortly after takeoff. According to Iran's aviation authority, "human error" was behind the shootdown.
