Telia forced to pay a sanction fee of SEK 15 million after failing in its security clearance of employees. Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) describes the incident as "serious", although – so far – it is not considered to have led to any damage.
The unauthorized personnel worked in security class 3, the lowest level on a three-point scale. Telia Sweden's Press Officer Iréne Krohn: We are completely confident that this has in no way harmed Sweden's security – which PTS also confirms.
